The British Tae Kwon-Do Council (BTC)
WMST are proud to promote the BTC's 'Touch Gloves - Getting Girls in Tae Kwon-Do' scheme
The British Tae Kwon-Do Council was formed on April 21st, 1988, and is recognised by the Sports Council as the only Governing body for the martial art of Tae Kwon-Do within the UK. The BTC was established in conjunction with the Sports Council to unify and oversee the development of Tae Kwon-Do in the UK.
As a Governing body the BTC advise Associations, Clubs and Members of any changes in legislation or incidents/decisions which may have an impact on their activities and practices. It is the duty of the BTC to strive to maintain that their members get the best possible martial arts training.
The BTC cater for all styles of Tae Kwon-Do, ITF (International Tae Kwon-Do Federation), WTF (World Tae Kwon-Do Federation) as well as Independents.
